PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This reforestation project guarantees sustainable wood production and mitigates the effects of climate change. The species used are Pinus pinaster subsp atlantica, Pinus radiata and Betula celtiberica.

Forest reforestation project of 8.12 hectares located in the Community of
Neighborhood Forests in Common Hand of Tenorio, Cerdedo‐Cotobade City Council
located in the municipality of Pontevedra (Galicia).
This repopulation project, in addition to guaranteeing the sustainable production of
Wood provides great environmental benefits that will help mitigate the
effects of climate change and favor the establishment of numerous species
vegetables and animals. On the other hand, this project promotes rural development and
socioeconomic of the area of ​​action.
The species used in this repopulation project have been Pinus pinaster
subsp atlantica, Pinus radiata and Betula celtiberica, all of them adapted to the
climatic conditions of this region.
