PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This reforestation project guarantees sustainable wood production and mitigates the effects of climate change. The species used are Pinus pinaster subsp atlantica, Pinus radiata and Betula celtiberica.

The Tenorio II Reforestation Project covers 8.12 hectares located in the Community of Montes Vecinales en Mano Común de Tenorio, in the municipality of Cerdedo-Cotobade, in the municipality of Pontevedra, Galicia. The main objective of this project is to guarantee the sustainable production of wood, while at the same time providing important environmental benefits. Reforestation in Tenorio will contribute significantly to mitigate the effects of climate change and favour the establishment of various plant and animal species.

In addition to its ecological benefits, the Tenorio Reforestation Project promotes rural and socio-economic development in the area. The implementation of this project supports the local economy by providing employment and resources, thus strengthening the rural community.
