PROJECT

Tauste

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Create a forest ecosystem capable of absorbing CO2, thereby combating global warming, protecting the soil by creating a sustainable forest cover, and restoring the area's biodiversity and wildlife habitats.

Forest repopulation project of 39.68 hectares located in the municipality of Tauste, province of Zaragoza (Aragón).

The goal of this reforestation project is to promote the establishment of a forest mass in an area devoid of vegetation and degraded by intense erosive processes. In the future, this forest mass will play a crucial role in regulating water resources, minimizing the risks of erosive processes, and enriching the soil with nutrients. The establishment of this forest mass presents a significant environmental challenge.

The project involves a multi-species plantation, composed of native conifers and deciduous trees adapted to the local climate and capable of occupying different vegetation strata in the future. This design aims to prioritize adaptation, diversity, and resilience of the forest mass against potential environmental disturbances.
