PROJECT

Sotalbo

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Recovery of a forest devastated after a fire in order to reestablish the native vegetation, recover the functionality of both the soil and the flight and have the capacity to absorb CO from the atmosphere, thus mitigating the effects of climate change.

Reforestation project covering 10.58 hectares located in the municipality of Sotalbo, Ávila (Castilla y León).

This reforestation project aims to ecologically restore an area devastated by fire that has been unable to recover on its own. This intervention will accelerate the recovery of biodiversity in this area, promoting the proliferation of animal and plant species, and also promoting soil stabilization and regulation of the hydrological cycle.

The mixture of species used in the reforestation, including conifers and deciduous trees, form a resilient mass against possible environmental alterations, providing landscape richness with a combination of both deciduous and evergreen species.
