PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Restoring an area burned after a fire in order to reestablish native vegetation and recover the functionality of both the soil and the ecosystem.

Reforestation project covering 20.42 hectares located in the Comunidad de Montes Vecinales en Mano Común de Silvoso, within the municipality of Ponte Caldelas, in the province of Pontevedra (Galicia).

This reforestation project aims at the ecological restoration of an area devastated by fire, which has been unable to recover without human intervention. This intervention will accelerate the forest’s recovery process and the proliferation of native species, contribute to water cycle regulation, and improve soil quality.

The species used in this reforestation include Pinus pinaster subsp atlantica and a mix of native deciduous trees.
