Sotalbo Reforestation Project covers 10.58 hectares located in the municipality of Sotalbo<\/a>, in the province of \u00c1vila (Castilla y Le\u00f3n). This project aims at the ecological restoration of an area devastated by fire, which has not been able to recover on its own. The proposed intervention will accelerate the recovery of biodiversity in the area, favouring the proliferation of animal and plant species and promoting soil stabilisation and the regulation of the hydrological cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mix of species used in the reforestation includes both conifers and hardwoods. This combination creates a forest mass that is resilient to possible environmental disturbances, providing a rich landscape by integrating deciduous and evergreen species. The diversity of species ensures a robust and adaptable ecosystem, able to cope with the challenges of climate change and other adverse factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sotalbo Project not only aims to restore biodiversity, but also plays a crucial role in soil protection. By minimising erosion and improving soil structure, the project contributes to the long-term sustainability of the area. Regulation of the hydrological cycle is another key benefit, helping to maintain the water balance and preventing problems such as water scarcity and desertification.
