A TV program shows interest in our revolutionary reforestation method

CO2 Revolution’s R&D director, Jaime Olaizola, has shown our unique planting drone in “El Señor de los bosques” of La 2 of RTVE. This entertainment and outreach program, presented by César Palacios, aims to raise awareness of issues related to forestry and the resources that forests can offer through walks in which aspects such as environmental commitment, nature and sustainable cooking are promoted. To this end, they feature well-known personalities, as well as Spanish scientists, professionals and experts who talk about innovation and technological advances for the preservation of the environment.

In the second episode of this seventh season, they wanted to count on CO2 Revolution to talk about our revolutionary method of reforestation based on iSeeds, intelligent seeds of our own creation, developed in the laboratory to achieve a high germination rate. The prestigious doctor in Forestry Engineering, Jaime Olaizola, who specializes in Applied Forest Biotechnology and has a long career in the field of mycology, explained how new technologies can accelerate the process of regeneration of vegetation cover and forest recovery after a wildfire.

“We use biological techniques to reproduce what nature normally does, and we use the drone to plant from the air over large areas in just a few minutes,” says Olaizola. The smart seeds are coupled with fungi that increase the survival and germination rate so that trees can grow to form forests, and ultimately entire ecosystems that conserve biodiversity.
ecosystems that conserve biodiversity. This generated forest mass acts as a carbon sink, providing a double environmental benefit, recovering degraded or burned land, but also helping to limit the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
